Hollande in Washington: Obama Fetes 'Oldest and Closest' of Allies

Ahead of his state dinner at the White House and after a press conference in the company of the US president, François Hollande is at the state department where the French president is being hosted by US Secretary of State John Kerry. A common vision on foreign policy is the message the two countries are aiming to project. Cue much talk of talk of burden sharing, with Hollande assuming the role of model pupil with his hawkish stances on Syria, Iran and Africa.

Produced and prepared by David Boratov, Haxie Meyers-Belkin and Diaraye Bah
