Paris celebrates photography

Today's show is all about photography as Paris marks its month-long celebration of the art. At its heart: Paris photo, the French capital's annual photo fair. For the 18th year in a row, gallery owners from the world over will gather in the Grand Palais to show and sell their very best photographs.

We look at some of the best of what’s on offer with the fair’s curator. We also speak to Henri Dauman, a New York-based French photographer who has chronicled half a century of American history. He’s got an exhibition on at the Palais d’Iena and tells us how it feels to look back at a lifetime of photo-journalilsm.

We also look at another photo exhibition on in Paris, "Memoria". Through the work of Roberto Battistini, it looks at the unsung, anonymous heros of World War Two, the men who crossed the Mediterranean to fight a war that wasn't theirs.
