Algeria: What's the Choice? Incumbent Bouteflika Votes in Wheelchair

Abdelaziz Bouteflika may get easily re-elected. Nonetheless, most Algerians will tell you that today's presidential election marks a new and perhaps more uncertain era. The 77-year-old Bouteflika cast his ballot from a wheelchair, after appearing not even once on his own campaign trail. So, how long can frustration over corruption and red tape simmer before it spills into the political arena? And what role for the heirs of the Islamists whose victory was thwarted two decades ago?
