Obama in Saudi Arabia: Oil diplomacy triumphs in face of human rights abuses (part 1)

Barack Obama has cut short a three-day trip to India to pay respects to the new monarch of Saudi Arabia after the death of King Abdullah. The high-powered delegation includes a planeload of current and former members of Congress as well as previous secretaries of state. Securing the friendship of the world's top oil producer has been a top US priority for decades. But how special will that relationship be if the shale oil revolution means less dependency on Saudi oil?
