Hermès: Blazing saddles

Hermès is one of the oldest French fashion houses. Known for its silk scarves and leather items, the master of "haute couture" has also been hand-crafting saddles for over 170 years.

From the first cut to the final polish, one saddle alone requires 40 hours of work! 7 kilograms of leather moulded and sewn together to fit perfectly the horse's back... We go behind the scenes to meet highly-skilled artisans at the Hermès leather workshop, just off the Champs-Elysées.
