Gunfire, casualties reported on beach in southeast Ivory Coast

Gunmen opened fire on a beach in Ivory Coast’s seaside town of Grand-Bassam on Sunday, a witness told FRANCE 24, killing at least five people.

A UNESCO heritage site, Grand-Bassam was briefly the capital of Ivory Coast when it was a colony of France in the late 19th century.
