An amateur video captured the scene at Brussels's Zaventem airport just minutes after two explosions tore through the departures hall on Tuesday morning.
Smoke fills the hall and repeated screams can be heard in the amateur footage, filmed just minutes after the blasts that are reported to have killed at least 14 people.
Still stunned, people lie on the floor amongst the scattered pieces of luggage. Some have their arms over each other or reach for loved ones, while others struggle to their feet. A man picks up his baby as a woman pushes his fallen stroller off her back. The three of them scuttle away. Others abandon their baggage and flee, running in different directions. Other smoky silhouettes move more slowly, seemingly confused.
Belgian authorities have said that at least one of the blasts at the airport was caused by a suicide bomber.
Prime Minister Charles Michel has declared today "a day of tragedy, a black day” and called on everyone “to show calmness and solidarity".
