THE DEBATE

A live debate on the topic of the day, with four guests. From Monday to Thursday at 7.10 pm Paris time.

Latest update : 2016-06-24

Britain votes out: What next?

On Thursday’s referendum Britain voted to leave the European Union. This morning David Cameron announced his resignation so the UK is expected to have a new prime minister by October. But in the Leave camp two sides are emerging: Boris Johnson claims the UK will remain united and part of Europe, while Nigel Farage triumphantly declared June 23rd Britain's ‘Independence Day’. With pro-EU Scotland and Northern Ireland looking towards their own independence, what future for the UK a year from now?

Produced by Charles WENTE, Yann PUSZTAI, François WIBAUX, Van MEGUERDITCHIAN and Christopher DAVIS.
