THE DEBATE

A live debate on the topic of the day, with four guests. From Monday to Thursday at 7.10 pm Paris time.

Latest update : 2016-07-13

May's Moment: Can new PM heal a divided Britain? (part 2)

It was much quicker and bloodier than first announced, but the Conservatives have a new leader and Britain has a new prime minister: Theresa May, the last woman standing. The home affairs minister has been a moderately Eurosceptic Conservative and voted "remain", yet she’s pledged to respect the will of the people. What kind of a deal will May negotiate? Why did no Tory candidate who carried the banner of "leave" emerge as the replacement to David Cameron?

Produced by Charles WENTE, François WIBAUX and Van MEGUERDITCHIAN.
