Our first theme this week is becoming frighteningly recurrent - and that is of course the spate of deadly attacks here in Europe. Since the killing of 84 people in Nice on July 14, Germany too has been shaken by acts of deadly violence. France was hit again, with the execution of an 86-year-old priest in a Normandy church on Tuesday. Also, it was Hillary Clinton's moment in the spotlight, as the Democratic Party officially handed her the nomination.
