The beginning of the end? Venezuela's opposition one step closer to recall of President Maduro

After weeks of stalling, Venezuela's Electoral Council has announced that the country's opposition party has successfully collected the required 1 percent of signatures to push towards an election recall. But President Nicolas Maduro's government looks set to do anything it can to hold off the referendum. Many say the country is on the brink of social explosion - analysts are claiming Maduro may be ousted by the end of next year - just how much longer can Maduro hold control for?
