Despite security concerns after a spate of terror attacks, France continues to attract film crews. In this video report, FRANCE 24 reporters talk to an award-winner director about filming in the French capital.

Gorgeous urban settings, audiovisual savoir faire, and dedicated tax benefits. That’s the recipe for Paris authorities to keep on attracting film crews in the French capital.

“Paris authorities really make an effort to help us, giving us filming authorisation easily and allowing us to remove things like billboards wherever we need to”, Michel Hazanavicius, director of the award-winning film “The Artist”, told FRANCE 24.

Hazanavicus’s next blockbuster, “Le Redoutable”, which is about legendary filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, is one of twenty films currently being shot in the French capital.
