Turning up the heat with French firefighters

This week, we're turning up the heat as we tell you all about France's much-loved fire brigade. They are often first on the scene of a crisis, and firefighting makes up just a fraction of their varied and often dangerous missions. We find out how becoming a professional firefighter can be a long and difficult process. Recently, French firefighters have started voicing growing anger over the effects of repeated budget cuts. Many feel they are being stretched to the limit - we tell you more.

Finally, we visit a temporary exhibition at Paris's town hall, which is currently looking into the specific history and mission of the French capital’s fire brigade.
