Reforming Argentina: After election win, Macri vows to improve economy

Mauricio Macri has won a strong mandate to continue reforming Argentina's economy. Kate Moody asks Edwin Guttierez, the head of Emerging Market Sovereign Debt at Aberdeen Asset Management, whether the Argentinian president is moving fast enough.

Also in the programme:

  • The recession in Venezuela has led to sky-rocketing inflation and the bolivar is now barely worth the paper it's printed on. We see how many Venezuelans are turning to the cryptocurrency bitcoin as an alternative.

  • And smiling all the way to the bank: we meet the French family which trademarked the now-ubiquitous yellow smiley face over 40 years ago.
