Mali Twist: Paris gallery pays tribute to Malick Sidibé

He was known as "the eye of Bamako": Malick Sidibé’s iconic portraits of a newly-independent Mali are among the most striking examples of West African photography. A new retrospective at Paris's Cartier foundation celebrates the artist and his monochrome studio. We also check out a new exhibition which proclaims "We are all Football", as Marseille’s MUCEM presents a cultural and sociological vision of the beautiful game.

And two worlds collide in the dance show "Break the Tango", as tango and breakdance fuse to make a vibrant hybrid on stage here in the French capital.
