Macron's world: The French president's ambitious agenda for 2018

What diplomatic battles will the French leader pick in 2018? In his New Year's address to the diplomatic corps, Emmanuel Macron once again positioned himself as anti-Trump by suggesting that dialogue is the only way forward in Syria and Iran. As head of a NATO member with a permanent seat at the UN Security Council, the French president also touted an April conference on the fight against the financing of terrorism.

Produced by Charles WENTE, Alessandro XENOS, Van MEGUERDITCHIAN.
