Macron in Davos: French president pleads for more ambitious Europe

"France is back". Emmanuel Macron drew applause in Davos with that line. The French president was definitely playing to a friendly audience as he pitched his country and his continent to the captains of globalisation in Davos. He also pleaded for a global compact to make growth more ethical and pointedly called on the US and China to sign a deal to regulate taxes. But do his words match his deeds? What are the French president's answers to growing inequality at home?

Produced by Daniel BARNEY, Tatiana REITER, Alessando XENOS and Van MEGUERDITCHIAN.
