Kenya's bitter divide: Government retaliates against opposition 'inauguration'

In Nairobi, the opposition has staged a symbolic presidential oath for its leader Raila Odinga after boycotting the re-run of a presidential election. The initial August poll had been cancelled because of irregularities. The government of Uhuru Kenyatta pulled the plug on private television stations covering Tuesday's ceremony. That's raising alarm bells in a nation where politics may be broken, but where the free press has long thrived. How to change that dynamic?

Produced by Charles WENTE, Alessandro XENOS, Van MEGUERDITCHIAN.
