The challenges facing Senegal's education system

French President Emmanuel Macron is visiting Senegal where, together with his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall, he'll co-chair the Global Partnership for Education conference. For donors, Senegal is a star pupil, as the West African country allocates 24% of its budget to education. Yet despite these efforts, Senegal's education system still faces major challenges such as poor learning conditions and strong regional disparities. Our correspondent reports.
