French President Emmanuel Macron has kicked off a series of consultations with EU citizens with the stated goal of making Europe feel more relevant to the lives of ordinary people. But some say it’s a cover for trying to create a Europe-wide ‘En Marche’ (Republic on the Move) movement to destabilise the establishment, as Macron did in last year’s French elections. We discuss whether there’s any appetite for such a movement at a pan-European level.
