THE DEBATE

A live debate on the topic of the day, with four guests. From Monday to Thursday at 7.10 pm Paris time.

Latest update : 2018-04-24

Macron meets Trump: A state visit with discord on the horizon?

Macron meets Trump in Washington. The French president is the first to make a state visit there under the Trump administration. Some say it’s a symbol of the "bromance" betweent the two men, born at last year's Bastille Day parade when Trump was Macron's guest. Macron is called the Trump whisperer by some who think he has a way of getting through to Trump other leaders can only dream of. Will he get through to Trump on the thorny dossiers that the two disagree on? Iran, trade and climate change?

Produced by Yi Song, Tommaso Mazzanti and Laure Fourquet.
