Cameroonian lawyer Alice Nkom: 'LGBT rights are human rights'

The world is celebrating sexual and gender diversities on this Thursday's International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. Homosexuality is still a taboo issue across Africa where gay men and women are frequently persecuted. Campaigners say that sexual minorities are still abused, assaulted, raped and enslaved. On Perspective, we spoke to Alice Nkom, a lawyer and an activist who's spent years fighting for homosexuality to be decriminalised in her homeland of Cameroon.
