Latest update : 2014-05-22

European elections are underway until May 25th in the 28 countries of the European Union. France 24 will broadcast a Special Election programme on Sunday May 25th on its three channels, in English, French and Arabic.

Hosts Christophe Robeet (in English), Caroline de Camaret (in French), and Taoufik Mjaied (in Arabic) will call upon their journalists in all the main political party HQs in Paris as well as their correspondents in the major European capitals.

From Brussels, London, Berlin, Athens, Rome and Madrid, France 24's correspondents will analyze the repercussions of this election. What role should Europe play in the current economic crisis? What will tomorrow's European Parliament look like? Can we expect a clear majority to emerge?

Starting from 8pm, France 24 will announce the first exit polls in France. Estimated results for other European countries will also be available and commented by political analysts and guests.

From 9pm to 11pm, France 24 will offer a global look at the day's other international news, including an analysis of the Presidential elections in Ukraine and Egypt with its correspondents.

At 11pm, France 24 will reveal the official results for the European Union as a whole and for each of the 28 countries voting. European political leaders will comment and analyze the main electoral lessons of the evening.

Web users will also be able to follow developments throughout the election process on FRANCE24.COM thanks to a liveblog in French, English and Arabic.
