Welcome to BasildonThe Essex town is only some 30 minutes from London,...But for many here, thoughts on the Brexit couldn't be furthur from the capital's voting majorityWhile 75 percent of Londoners backed Remain A massive 68 percent of Basildon's voters chose rather to get outFed up with the European UnionSome felt that the UK had to take back control from Brussel's bureaucratsSOT MANI found that we were being more and more ruled by them and I didn't elect them peopleSOT WOMAN22 men sitting around a table didn't even get themselves organised onto a committee or whatever it was and then decided to tell us what to do , I am afraid that didn't go down very well with me at allImmigration had also been at the heart of campaign BrexitWith fears - that if Britain remained within the EUIt would be increasingly flooded with migrants travelling up through EuropeAnd would be unable to cope...SOT MANWe're full up, no room at the innShut the doors, keep everybody out , all the terrorists and the turks , all the undesirables Outrage provoked by Friday's results meant many rushed to sign a petition...Calling for a second referendum....A move deemed as purely anti democratic,...according to this coupleSOT WOMAN AND MANI don't understand the point in that really I just dont understand it's like going through the whole thign again We just had a referndum and we're going out you can't just have another one just because you don't agree , majority have voted out so we're out...While some may staunchly oppose it...Support for the petition is growing..and its the most popular ever seen on the parliamentary website...It's currently racked up over 3 million signatures across the country...Far more than the 100 000 needed for it to be discussed in UK parliament...
