For the last few weeks, Egypt has been making the international headlines : the country is today at an impasse. Since the removal of President Mohamed Morsi by the army on July 3 and the disavowal of millions of Egyptians in the streets, political tensions are now exacerbated across the country. In a tense political climate, pro- and anti-Morsi are at loggerheads. How can the differing sides find a compromise to allow a democratic transition in the country?
On Wednesday July 17th, FRANCE 24’s three daily debates (in English, French and Arabic) travel to Cairo to bring viewers special editions on the political situation in Egypt.
François Picard (in English) [@FrancoisF24], Taoufik Mjaied (in Arabic) [@taoufikmjaied], Vanessa Burggraf (in French) [@VanessaBurggraf] and their respective guest panels will spend an hour analyzing the unfolding situation and confronting different viewpoints.
