FRANCE 24 – RFI WEB DOCUMENTARY AWARD 2012 CALL FOR ENTRIES - 25/06/2012

For the fourth year running, FRANCE 24 and RFI, international news TV and radio stations, are organizing the Web Documentary Award within the framework of “Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan”.

For the fourth year running, FRANCE 24 and RFI, international news TV and radio stations, are organizing the Web Documentary Award within the framework of “Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan”, one of the world’s most international photojournalism Festival.

 

The prize rewards the best web documentary that stands out thanks to its original outlook on a news topic and its effective use of the new multimedia tools offered by the web. Candidates should demonstrate innovation and contribute to the development of a modern approach to the news on the web.

 

This project aims to encourage the development of a new form of information exploiting the numerous possibilities offered by new media and Internet. This initiative is in line with FRANCE 24 and RFI’s underlying strategy, both pioneer media in the use of multimedia tools, new technologies and innovative perspective on news.

 

The FRANCE 24-RFI Web Documentary Award is organized within the framework of the “Visa pour l’Image - Perpignan” photojournalism festival which has gathered the greatest number of photojournalists and the representatives of major international newspapers and magazines for over 20 years.

 

At the 24th edition of Visa pour l’Image - Perpignan (from 1 to 11 September 2012 – Perpignan, France) a jury of international personalities from the world of information, photography and new media will present this award. The laureate will receive the FRANCE 24 – RFI Web Documentary Award and 8.000 Euros.
