In Port-au-Prince, everyday life remains hand to mouth. The country is on life support. Economic recovery is bound to be long and difficult. FRANCE 24 shared the daily existence of Haitians looking to save their country from the ruins and rebuild their lives.

Nearly three months after the devastating earthquake, Haitians are trying to rebuild their lives. But some say international aid is getting in the way of them making a living. Others want the reconstruction effort to stretch further afield from the capital, Port-au-Prince, to create a better future for the entire country.
