French teenager kills parents and brothers
A 16-year-old boy shot and killed his parents and twin 10-year-old brothers in the town of Albitreccia, in southern Corsica. The teenager apparently used his father's shotgun. Investigators have not established a motive for the crime.

Five including newborn killed in helicopter crash in Corsica
Five people were killed when a medical evacuation helicopter flight crashed into a mountainside in northern Corsica. The helicopter contained a young woman who gave birth during the flight, a doctor, the pilot and co-pilot.

A Paris appeal court has found Corsican shepherd Yvan Colonna guilty in the 1998 murder of prefect Claude Erignac. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum sentence of 22 years.
