Aerospace rivals Boeing and Airbus won major contracts Monday at the start of the Farnborough airshow in England. Emirates airline ordered 30 Boeing long-range 777 aircraft while a US leasing company ordered 51 Airbus A320 jets.
Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced an order of 32 more Airbus A380 planes, taking the company's total order to 90. Estimated at more than 11 billion dollars, Tuesday's order becomes the biggest contract in civil aviation history, says Airbus.
