Jeremy Toulalan scored an own goal in stoppage time to hand Olympique Marseille a 5-5 draw at Olympique Lyon in a spectacular Ligue 1 game on Sunday, after leaders Girondins Bordeaux had slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Lille.
Frustrated Liverpool could be out of the Champions League after Lyon grabbed a late equaliser to move on to the knockout stage. Joining the French club are Sevilla, whose 1-1 draw with VfB Stuttgart earned the Spaniards a place in the last 16.
Lyon came from behind to claim a late 2-1 win against Liverpool at Anfield. The French side therefore hold on to the top spot in Group E, as Liverpool's hopes of progressing to the knockout stages fade.

Saint Etienne ended title-holders Bordeaux's 22-match unbeaten streak with a 3-1 win and Lyon took the top spot in the standings with a 2-0 win over Lens on Saturday. Paris Saint-Germain and Nancy drew 1-1, and Auxerre beat Rennes 1-0.
Two weeks after their narrow win over Fiorentina, Lyon head east for their second game in the Champions League group stage. Their opponents are little-known Hungarian outfit Debrecen.
