France Telecom staff protest over wave of suicides
Dozens of France Telecom employees have staged protests in Paris and in the city of Troyes, where a 49-year-old technician employed there stabbed himself after a demotion. There have been a staggering 22 suicides at the company in just 18 months.

German and French operators in talks to take over UK market
France Telecom and Deutsche Telecom have entered exclusive talks to merge their British units Orange UK and T-Mobile UK. The move would create Great Britain's biggest mobile phone operator, with a 37 percent share of the market.

eBay sells 65% of Skype for almost $2 billion
Internet auction giant eBay has finalised a deal to sell the Internet phone service Skype to a group of private investors. Under the terms of the 1.9 billion dollar deal, to be completed by the end of 2009, ebay would keep a 35% stake in Skype.
