The Mideast Quartet has called on Israel to halt further construction of settlements in the West Bank, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in London. He also urged Arab states to fulfill their pledge to help Palestinian territories.
Tony Blair, the Middle East Quartet's peace envoy, called upon Israel and Palestine to improve living conditions in the occupied territories as the first step toward a new and better peace strategy.
