Northeast in lockdown as Nigeria battles Islamists

The city of Maiduguri and other northeastern areas remained under curfew on Sunday as Nigerian forces targeted Boko Haram strongholds. The defence ministry said 14 Islamists and three army soldiers had been killed since Saturday.
