The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was drafted in 1992 with the aim of stabilising the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Its head, Yvo de Boer, says delegates at a critical climate conference in Copenhagen plan to go a step further in the fight against global warming.
