Congolese President Joseph Kabila suspended the army’s chief of staff on Friday following a UN report accusing Gen. Gabriel Amisi of overseeing the selling of arms to rebel groups as tens of thousands of refugees fled the rebel-held city of Goma.

The M23 rebels in the DR Congo say they won't stop until they've taken the capital. We go to the first town seized by them this week, the strategic city of Goma. UN demands DR Congo rebels withdraw from Goma

The UN Security Council adopted a resolution on Tuesday calling for DR Congo's M23 rebels to immediately pull out of Goma and demanded an end to foreign support for the insurgents. The decree came hours after M23 seized control of the city.
