Dozens more refugee boats reach Lampedusa

Some 1,600 migrants from north Africa, including 100 women and 40 children, have landed on the southern Italian island of Lampedusa, a local news agency said Sunday. An estimated 11,000 migrants crossed over from north Africa this year.
