Michalak marks Toulouse return
France's international fly-half Frederic Michalak turned down offers from several English rugby clubs to sign a three-year contract with his first club Toulouse, after having spent one season playing for South-Africa's Coastal Sharks.

France international fly-half Frederic Michalak has signed a three-year deal with his former club Toulouse, according to the French Top 14 club's website Thursday.

Michalak left Toulouse, for whom he had played the past six previous seasons, last year to join South African Super-14 side Coastal Sharks.

According to Toulouse the Frenchman will return to Toulouse in October, once he has finished playing for the Sharks in their Currie Cup campaign.

After days of speculation on his eventual return to France, the 25-year-old player told L'Equipe newspaper he has now made up his mind.

"A lot of clubs came up with great offers, as much on the sporting as the financial level. I've always felt very close to Toulouse, but I still needed a bit of time to consider my options, to decide," said Michalak.

Michalak, who has won 50 caps for France, is reported to have received offers from Biarritz, second division side Toulon and from several English clubs.

He is currently sidelined until the end of July with a left knee ligament injury.
