AFP - Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel on Monday called for a swift end to the uncertainty surrounding the future of want-away French star Franck Ribery, who is angling to join Real Madrid.
"Franck must clear things up with the coach and the board and it will be good if he does so quickly," said the Dutchman, who says the transfer window ought not to stay open until the end of August.
"That is ridiculous - by then we will already long have returned to action," he complained to German sports agency SID.
The German club are meanwhile considering putting a fine system in place in the wake of midfielder Ribery's insistence in a French media interview last week that he will leave for Spain.
Bayern's bosses have repeatedly insisted he is going nowhere and the affair is disrupting preparations for a new season set to begin on August 7.
