Kenya opens probe after police brutally break up protest

In tonight's edition: Kenyan police accused of using excessive violence; military operations against ADF rebels start in eastern DR Congo; and Tunisia's gay community fights for its rights.

Kenyan police are accused of brutality in their breaking up of protests against the country's electoral commission. The police chief has called for an independent inquiry after a photo was released showing officers ganging up on a prone man.

Also, locals in Beni in northeastern DR Congo call on their president to do more to protect them against Ugandan rebels. More civilians have been killed and their deaths blamed on ADF militia.

And as the world marks International Day Against Homophobia, we meet some of the people from Tunisia's gay community struggling with stigma.
