Like its German counterparts and the debacle over Liechtenstein, the US would be better engaged in discovering why it is that those who earn/create wealth must seek to secure the right to their wealth by secreting it in tax havens, and not be investing their wealth in the US. Simply getting tough with banks in Liechtenstein and/or Switzerland will only have a very short term gain to the revenue services, since wealth earners/creators can simply stop bothering to create any wealth beyond their personal needs. Or where opportunities exist from within government via extreme levels of corruption and the undermining of democracy. It took 20-years for the Russian revolutionaries to hollow out the capital core of Russia. Robert Mugabe and his cohort managed the same achievement in less than 5-years. And the prevailing tooth-fairy economics of the EU and US will manage the same acheivement in less than 18-months.

They do this because they are greedy. As for wealth creation how much of it is inherited or the result of fraud or other criminality? And what is wrong with these people that they so hate to help fund health care, education and so on?

If they were creating wealth at all they will continue to because they will still get to keep much of it after tax. By the way since most employees pay tax why do they ever do more work than is required?
