Britain's second seed Andy Murray eclipsed Latvia's Ernests Gulbis to win in straight sets, 6-2 7-5 6-3. Earlier, Andy Roddick eased into the third round after dispatching Igor Kunitsyn of Russia in four sets, 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
