Narcile Batiste, 35, was the fifth member of a gang to be sentenced to lighter than sought prison terms for the 2006 conspiracy to blow up the skyscraper, the tallest building in the United States.

Batiste, who is alleged to have planned the attack with an FBI undercover agent posing as a member of Al-Qaeda, claimed he never intended to carry out the plot, only to abscond with some 50,000 dollars offered to finance it.
