French rocker Hallyday in hospital with post-op infection

AFP - Veteran French rocker Johnny Hallyday has been admitted to hospital in Los Angeles after developing an infection following surgery for a slipped disc, a spokesman said Tuesday.

The rock star, 66, was admitted to the US hospital on Monday, said the spokesman in a statement released in Paris.

"Following the operation in Paris on November 26 for a slipped disc, he is currently under observation for an infection," according to a statement from his press service.

"His condition is stable and he should come out of hospital in several days."
