Put the murderous cartels out of business: "legalize"

The onus of the almost twenty thousand murders in Mexico lay on the shoulders of the Mexican and US governments.
The only solution to stop this insane violence is for both governments to oversee the manufacture, distribution, and medically supervised administration of "demonized" drugs to addicts and users. This will effectively put the cartels out of business because addicts and users will only pay a fraction of the illegal market cost of a "fix" when administered legally.
