Belgium burqa vote: the beginning of a European trend?

The Belgian government will begin debating a controversial bill which could see Belgium become the first European country to ban face-covering Islamic veils from being worn in public. French President Nicolas Sarkozy should be watching this debate very closely as he will be soon proposing a similar ban in France. But what are the consequences of banning the burqa?

Presented by Annette Young.

poorly done

Two highly opinionated, unbalanced points of view essentially both agreeing with each other. A poor documentary filled with irrationality. Could it not have been possible for someone who thinks this law is an infringement of freedom and a dangerous precedent to have been given air time? On each of the points they raise there is a very valid counter argument which is not raised - this is not a valid or useful debate.

Scary

Scary these two bigots.
