Increasingly isolated internationally, Ivory Coast leader Laurent Gbagbo counts on the support of his influential, Bible-wielding wife Simone to rally followers at home.
It is a shame that evoke God in their selfish endeavours. But who is clean? Who supported Gbagbo all these years? Is it not the French whose occupation of Cote D'Ivoire is an eyesore? From running the airport, maintaining a huge military base .. surely, the people of CDI should now be allowed to determine their destiny. Suuport and not sabotage is welcome.
The people of Ivory coast are dying. The Au and Ecowas is still watching. The problem in Ivory Coast is far beyound diplomacy or dialogue. Time is running out.The AU and Ecowas must act now,to avoid another genocide like we all saw in RWANDA.If we want to see true Democracy in Africa, this is the time right time to act. Using legitimate force to oust Gbargo and gangs is the only option for restoring the will of the people of that Country.
Act now or be prepared to regret that you failed to saved another genocide.

The Economy Community of West African States(ECOWAS), have to be fast in making their decisions and be harsh on the removal of Mr. Laurant Gbarbo because if they fail to remove him, than ECOWAS have to get it at the back of their mine that other countries forming part of ECOWAS shall be next to violate their command or rules and regulations.

i think it will be better for the two leaders to form a collusition goverment same to what we have in my country(kenya),this will bring down the tension and the country will move forward.

This Gbagbo thing is becoming a nuisance. The ECOWAS resolved military intervention in December 2010 and i am surprised as to why the delay in action, leaders like Gbagbo are spreading like wildfire so they have to be taught lessons like what was done to Saddaam Hussein. Look what happened in Tunisia... that's a lesson too which Dictators must understand. We have 247 innocent dead Ivorians seeking a true and genuine leader and yet the rest of Africa and the world wait and watch one man and his wife alive and talking nonsense. Action please true leaders!!!!

Simone needs to tell the French people the where about of the French Journalist who died in Abidjan instead of taking the BIBLE in her hands to make a case. She is delusional about power. She needs to know that her husband lost the election. The Ivorian peoples' money she and her husband are taking to pay for lawyers who are comming to drain this poor country resources should stop.
The people of Ivory coast have spoken. They have elected Ouattara as their leader and so Gbagbo should not use their fear of confrontation to remain in power.
France is colonial power to Ivory Coast and should step up to stop the killing of innocent people from the hand of this insane,power greed dictator who has no respect for reality. This is the only election in Africa that took enormous sum of money only because of his inappropiate demand while his people continue to suffer. France needs to save the people of this land.
