Adama Dieng, UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide

FRANCE 24 hosts Adama Dieng. He argues that, despite international failures over Syria, the UN’s doctrine of “responsibility to protect” has had a positive impact in other conflicts such as Mali. He also addresses accusations that the International Criminal Court unfairly targets Africans, and says he hopes that more cases will be tried by national authorities rather than by the ICC.

Patrice Paoli, French Ambassador to Lebanon

In Beirut, France 24’s François Picard meets the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Patrice Paoli. Karen Mirzoyan, Nagorno-Karabakh's Foreign Policy Chief

The unresolved dispute between Azerbaijan and ethnic Armenian secessionists living in the landlocked enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh is often called a "frozen conflict". But as tensions run high in the region, some fear it could be the perfect tinderbox for a broader regional war. Douglas Herbert asks Nagorno-Karabakh's Foreign Policy Chief whether he fears more fighting to come.

Vladimir Kara-Murza, Member of the Coordinating Council of the Russian Opposition

Russian opposition activist Vladimir Kara-Murza says that gains in recent mayoral elections bode well for bigger tests in Moscow later this year and in 2014. But Armen Georgian puts it to him that, with President Putin’s approval ratings still comfortably above 60%, the opposition is failing to break through the wall.

Sam Rainsy, Cambodian opposition leader

Last week, Thailand denied entry to Sam Rainsy, Cambodia’s opposition leader. With elections in Cambodia set for July, Bangkok seems to be walking on eggshells and unwilling to upset its neighbouring country’s head of state. Cyril Payen, France 24’s correspondent in Thailand, met Sam Rainsy in Singapore to discuss the upcoming election and Prime Minister Hun Sen’s track record.

Disregarding certain aspects

Having just read several chapters of Mr. Caldwell's book, I must say that he seems to disregard several aspects of the Muslim way of life in Europe. Most of the exemplified incidents are not caused by the individuals involved in them being Muslims but merely because they are living in almost segregated communities with certain basic rights not granted; or they do not have equality of opportunity to obtain these rights. He might not have started out to be the author of a bedside book for European rightists, but his reasoning seems to me as a very polished Hitleresque style. Ignoring the existence, history and contributions of Muslims and Islam in Europe is a giant ignorance that Caldwell seems to have taken on. Rather than just getting statistical data and referring to incidents from outside, he better get on his way to the European countries with majority of Muslim communities dwelling.

Congratulations on finally

Congratulations on finally posting an interview with an islamo-realist instead of the succession of dhimmis you have presented so far.
