New Zealand’s All Blacks won 8-7 against France in a tense match to take the 2011 Rugby World Cup. France rallied from 8-0 down and came within one kick of taking the lead with just 15 minutes remaining.
France....dirtiest players in the World Cup, eye gouging, breaking RWC cultural laws, spitting on photographers....the list goes on. Sore losers thats all I can say!!

I do not know any New Zealander who was not aware of the power or threat of the French rugby team.And so in the final the French showed their strength, but despite that and 80 minutes they failed to score more than 7 points.Perhaps when we play France in the future the game is always extended until France scores the winning points.
Our NZ papers are full of cries from French people who say we cheated and the referee was in our pocket.
In memory of all my relatives and others who of 12000=14000 New Zealanders from a population of mllion who spilt their lifes blood in France and Belgiunm in WW1 I say to that large no of moaners "shame on you and take a look at 2007"

Despite what the press may have written, both the All Blacks and the New Zealand public were in no doubt that France would always be a dangerous challenge. And so it proved. A most magnificent display from France, which on the day exposed the All Blacks' vulnerabilities. So congratulations France on rising to the occasion. Worthy opponents indeed!
As a New Zealander I must congratulate France for their courage, dignity and honour they brought to the World Cup final. Do not believe everything you read by those who are overreacting to our victory - history will remember France as worthy opponents who came very, very close to being world champions. Congratulations to your captain who deserved to be named World Player of the year, he is a warrior who gave 100% and France should be proud of their team.
The New Zealand media would have you believe otherwise, but real kiwis have the utmost respect for your game - it could have gone either way. You are a formidable opponent
An incredible final. As a New Zealander I was always totally confident - but then the game started. When man of the match Thierry Dusautoir went over for his try my entire world collapsed. The result was always in doubt and in many ways France played the more attractive rugby. Perhaps if our kickers (we got down to our 4th choice number 10) had stayed fit we would have won more easily, but thats rugby. It's a physical game and no team can rely on any less than all 22 named players.
