The smugglers should be given a fair trial and, if convicted, given a suspended sentence and credit for time served while awaiting trial, before deportation.
If this had really been about humanitarian aid rather than trying to smuggle weapons (which may have been dumped overboard), they were welcome to deliver it to Gaza via either Egypt or Israel.
