In an interview with a leading Nigerian daily, a purported spokesman of the Boko Haram Islamist group claimed responsibility for Sunday’s attacks on three churches in central Nigeria, which killed at least 39 people on Christmas Day.
There is no point deceiving ourselves. The truth is that the country should be split. Igbos have shed enough blood. Since an Igbo man can no longer live peacefully in the North and practice his religion, I think its better we split. Check the statistics of those that lost their lives in the recent attacks.
Even though the Scripture says that time is coming when toddlers will be playing with the cubs, I think they should be separated and groomed differently because when they grow together to discover that they don't have same ancestry, it could be more disastrous. I doubt if the North and the South can succeed together as one based on their different religious and cultural inclination, values and ethics. How long should we continue to waste precious lives and property in the name of fanaticism?
